“You will never know just how much your breath values until you can’t breathe”
Asthma is derived from the Greek word which means – to breathe hard. It’s a common psychosomatic disorder and right now millions of people around the world are affected by it. If we talk about India alone, 10 to 20 million people are suffering from Asthma right now and the numbers are increasing at an alarming rate. It has been identified that by 2020 India would be the capital of Asthma patients in the world.
What happens in Asthma?
Asthma is a chronic lung disorder in which it’s become very difficult to breathe properly. It happens because of narrowing and inflaming airways also called as bronchial tubes.
When a patient comes in contact with anything that causes irritation (also called as stimuli) to the airway it triggers Asthma. Basically, the muscles around the airways tighten and the airway tube becomes narrower. Also, the lining around the walls become inflamed and starts to swell. All these factors lead to difficulty in breathing.
Causes of Asthma:
Although the actual causes of Asthma are still unknown it has been found that below given triggers could lead to hypersensitivity of the lungs. Also, a point here to note is that triggers vary from patient to patient. It doesn’t mean one trigger could affect two Asthma patients.
- Animals smell
- Pollens
- Food including dairy products, nuts, peanuts, fish, and eggs
- Infections like cold and bronchitis
- Sensitivity towards a certain type of drugs
- The smoke of tobacco, diesel, and other oils
- Fumes of paints, detergents, and deodorants
- Genetic tendency
Signs and Symptoms of Asthma:
- Extreme difficulty in breathing
- People with Asthma are often restless
- Severe wheezing
- Sweating
- Exhaling the breath takes longer time than inhaling
- Rapid nostril movement
- Struggle to get oxygen
- Sometimes in children, the fingernails and lips turn blue
The Homeopathy way to fight Asthma:
Homeopathy adapts the body’s own healing mechanism and alters the body’s reaching towards the triggers that we discussed above. The long-term goal of homeopathy treatment is to find the root cause of Asthma, adjust with the body’s defense mechanism and fight the triggers. In homeopathy, we bound to boost the immune system because if you have a strong body then definitely you tend to fight asthma attacks more efficiently.
Homeopathic treatment of Asthma is not generalized as each person has a different set of reaction towards the triggers. It completely depends upon multiple factors depending upon individual condition like allergens, the frequency of attacks etc.
It has been proved in studies that homeopathic treatment of asthma develops enhanced immune system that improves body’s resistance and keeps the symptoms under control.
